The washer DIN 125 / DIN 34815 / ISO 7089 is a flat washer without chamfer. This probably best-known standard washer is available from Bülte in many different materials: PA, PA +30% glass fibre, PE, PP, PC, POM, PEEK, PTFE, PVDF, hard PVC, soft PVC and silicone. As a plastic washer, it is closely based on the DIN dimensions.
DIN 125 plastic washers protect surfaces, are electrically insulating and significantly lighter than metal washers. Made from the standard material nylon, they are corrosion-resistant and can withstand most diluted acids.
Metal parts are generally used as the basis for DIN standards. The dimensions and tolerances of washers ~ DIN 125 and other plastic fasteners may deviate from the standard. They are therefore labelled as DIN-like. Small dimensional deviations are possible due to shrinkage. The illustrations are not contractually binding.
DIN 125 is the most commonly used washer. It is placed between the bolt head and the nut, ensures an even distribution of pressure and protects the components from damage.
